Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a visionary technical leader to innovate diagnostics for its data center platforms. This role focuses on developing and validating complex server systems, ensuring quality and performance across hardware and software. The successful candidate will work within a diverse team, driving hardware validation strategies and mentoring engineering teams. This position is essential for shaping the future of NVIDIA's diagnostic architecture and roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Proven experience architecting diagnostics for complex server systems, especially at the SW/HW interface.
  • Deep systems knowledge of x86/ARM architectures, Linux/Windows OS internals, firmware, BMC, and platform security.
  • Expertise in programming languages like C, C++, and Python for tool development and automation.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with technical and executive teams.
  • BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of engineering experience in diagnostics, embedded systems, or cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop diagnostic systems for NVIDIA data center platforms involving hardware and software tools.
  • Lead platform bring-up and integration, ensuring diagnostics are embedded early across the server lifecycle.
  • Drive hardware validation strategy in collaboration with architecture and hardware teams.
  • Analyze root causes of complex failures and offer scalable solutions across the stack.
  • Develop diagnostics software to ensure quality and performance at scale across ODM and partner production lines.
  • Mentor and grow engineering teams, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Influence the long-term strategy by developing diagnostic architecture and roadmaps for upcoming products.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
