Job description
Join NVIDIA's DRIVE Road Structure, Online Mapping, and Context Fusion team to contribute to the development of advanced 3D world models for autonomous vehicles. This role involves working with experienced engineers to integrate perception and mapping technologies, enabling safe navigation in complex environments. You will have the opportunity to enhance scenario understanding and support mapless driving capabilities. This position is ideal for those passionate about robotics and autonomous driving technology.
Requirements
- PhD with 1+ year, MS with 4+ years, or BS with 6+ years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong relevant software development experience, ideally with exposure to robotics or autonomous vehicles.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of robotics and autonomous driving.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities in a diverse and global environment.
- Experience with embedded systems or automotive platforms is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and refine systems that integrate state-of-the-art perception and mapping technologies.
- Assist in creating dynamic 3D models by combining data from sensors and external sources.
- Work on enriched bird’s-eye-view models to enable navigation without relying solely on high-definition maps.
- Help build static obstacle and occupancy grids, and generate occlusion masks.
- Collaborate closely with perception and planning teams.
- Write high-quality code and follow automotive industry best practices for safety and reliability.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
