This role involves managing cross-functional teams to deliver control planes, lifecycle orchestration, and system health capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in managing software or firmware engineering teams. You will play a crucial role in translating business needs into actionable plans and ensuring high standards of reliability and security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12 or more years of engineering experience in systems software, platform software, server firmware, or data center infrastructure.
- A minimum of 6 years managing software or firmware engineering teams.
- Proven track record delivering production software across multiple programs in a matrix organization.
- Solid technical background in Linux, distributed systems, application programming interfaces, and failure handling.

Responsibilities

- Translate business needs and evolving hardware roadmaps into release priorities and achievable plans.
- Partner with architects and technical leads on control planes, lifecycle orchestration, health analysis, and recovery.
- Build and develop the team through hiring, mentoring, and clear performance expectations.
- Establish effective planning, validation, release, and issue triage practices.
- Coordinate with firmware, platform, networking, quality assurance, security, and operations teams to deliver coordinated capabilities.
- Be responsible for the team's open-source delivery and support practices.
- Communicate priorities, progress, and tradeoffs clearly to engineers, collaborators, and leadership.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
