NVIDIA is looking for a computer architect to enhance the performance of high-performance computing systems, particularly focusing on memory systems and energy efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CPU/GPU architecture and a strong understanding of power analysis. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in a leading technology company known for its innovative GPUs and computing solutions. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

  • 18+ years of experience in CPU/GPU architecture and memory systems design with a focus on energy efficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Expertise in power analysis and modeling in pipeline-based architectures.
  • Good understanding of power analysis tools like Ansys Power Artist and Synopsys PTPX.
  • Experience with C, C++, and some scripting languages.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative high-performance processor and system architectures with a focus on memory systems and energy efficiency.
  • Create architecture and micro-architecture features to enhance GPU memory systems, optimizing for performance metrics.
  • Develop and improve architecture prototype models for power and noise analysis.
  • Participate in performance and power simulation to analyze and enhance energy efficiency.
  • Analyze benchmarks and performance/power simulation results to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Debug power, performance, and functional issues across various models and systems.
  • Collaborate with external partners on system infrastructure.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
