As a Sr. SoC Power Engineer in the AWS Utility Computing team, you will focus on power analysis and modeling for machine learning accelerators. You will collaborate with architects, designers, and verification engineers to optimize power consumption throughout the design process. Your role will involve using advanced power analysis tools and providing feedback to improve design efficiency. This position is crucial for supporting AWS's innovative cloud services and ensuring high-performance AI workloads.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• 6 years of experience with a BS, 5 years with an MS, or 3 years with a PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Expertise in power analysis tools like PrimePower or PowerArtist
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python
• Good understanding of Physical Design, EM/IR, Power Integrity, and Thermal analysis
• Experience with RTL design using System Verilog
• Familiarity with EMIR analysis tools like Redhawk or Voltus
• Experience with Zebu Emulator platform

• Conduct full chip power analysis and modeling from RTL to gate level netlist
• Develop and maintain dashboards for tracking power consumption
• Collaborate with designers and architects to create vectors for IR and thermal analysis
• Provide feedback to design teams on power reduction strategies
• Perform lab power measurements and correlate results with simulations
• Work with emulation engineers to model chip-level power consumption
