In this role, you will engineer systems that help teams proactively detect problems across large-scale infrastructure. You will work on building and improving software and agents that make telemetry data available and useful across various compute platforms. The Telemetry Engineering team focuses on creating trustworthy signals and iterating quickly to deliver value continuously. You will also contribute to backend services that analyze and distribute metrics and insights.

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development life cycle, including agile methodologies.
• Experience troubleshooting issues and conducting root cause analysis.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++ or experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools or experience in SQL Server/MySQL and Kafka.

• Build and maintain software and agents that run across device platforms, including network devices, Linux-based clients, and robotics platforms.
• Handle the low-level details of running software on varied hardware, including packaging, deployment, permissions, configuration, and service lifecycle.
• Contribute to the backend services that collect, process, and store telemetry data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the software from the device and networking layer up through the backend services.
• Write well-tested, maintainable code and improve the reliability and quality of the systems the team owns.
