The Broadcast Engineer role at Prime Video Live Sports involves managing the technical aspects of live sports broadcasts, ensuring signal integrity and operational excellence. The Technical Operations team is responsible for the planning and execution of broadcast infrastructure for major sporting events. This position requires a hands-on approach, from architecting signal flows to troubleshooting live systems. The role is remote-based but requires regular travel to live events and the Culver City headquarters.

• 10+ years of experience in broadcast engineering in live production environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Media Technology.
• Project management training or certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).
• Experience with audio/video signal flow and routing, including SDI and SMPTE ST 2110 IP video.
• Experience with IP contribution protocols (SRT, RIST, or RTMP) and transmission coordination.
• Ability to travel to live events and Prime Video Live Sports offices, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.

• Manage technical project lifecycles from pre-production through post-event wrap.
• Coordinate across production operations, graphics, audio, comms, and cloud engineering.
• Maintain and upgrade Prime Video broadcast infrastructure and field equipment.
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and system configuration documentation.
• Plan and execute remote deployments end-to-end, including logistics and readiness confirmation.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot live broadcast systems.
• Serve as on-site technical contact and monitor signal quality in real time.
