The Linux Kernel Engineer will join the AWS Hardware Engineering team to lead kernel patching, code development, and version adoption for server management controllers. This role focuses on ensuring the Linux kernel remains current, secure, and compliant across a global fleet of servers. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to optimize functionality and performance while addressing security vulnerabilities. This position is crucial for maintaining the reliability of AWS infrastructure that supports AI/ML workloads.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and code reviews
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
