This role focuses on identifying security issues in chips and low-level software for Amazon's digital products. The Security team is dedicated to ensuring secure hardware architecture for devices like Fire TV, Eero, and Alexa. The position involves guiding secure development practices, conducting security testing, and providing technical expertise to product teams. Candidates will also have the opportunity to develop new security policies and empower others through training.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in identifying security issues and developing mitigation plans
• 4+ years of experience in scripting, programming, and security code review in common programming languages
• Knowledge of hardware security mechanisms, including secure boot and trusted execution environments
• Experience with semiconductor reverse engineering
• Knowledge of operating system internals, with emphasis on Linux and common RTOS environments
• Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong code review and exploit development skills
• Hands-on experience with fault injection and side channel attack mitigation
• Experience with hardware, system, and network security, including cryptography

• Guide the secure development of devices at Amazon, from security design to code reviews and testing
• Propose, research, and develop tools and techniques to enhance device security
• Provide technical security expertise and consultation to device product teams
• Identify security risks and collaborate with product engineers to create mitigations
• Develop new security policies and procedures
• Promote security awareness and develop training materials for others
• Participate in projects that develop new intellectual property
