As a Software Development Engineer III at Annapurna Labs within Amazon Web Services, you will lead the design and delivery of AI-powered tooling for custom silicon reliability. The role combines generative AI techniques with deep hardware knowledge to address complex challenges in hardware failure detection and repair automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including silicon design and operations, to ensure successful integration and delivery of tooling updates. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the operational stability of next-generation Trainium products.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and deliver generative AI-based tools for identifying complex hardware failures and automating qualification frameworks.
• Own system design decisions across the tooling software stack while evaluating tradeoffs in scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with hardware design and sustaining teams to align tooling updates with upcoming silicon changes.
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship.
• Evaluate and refine generative AI model outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability at production scale.
