As an Operations Technology II engineer in the Facility Operations Center, you will monitor data center power and cooling systems globally, responding to alarms to ensure the availability of AWS Data Centers. This role involves troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems while collaborating with onsite teams. The Facility Operations Center operates 24/7, emphasizing safety, security, and availability. You will have the opportunity to enhance your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment.

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• 4+ years of data center engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage cabling
• Experience in a 24/7 environment

• Analyze alarm monitoring systems in real time and execute established escalation processes.
• Review work requests submitted by field technicians for compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Create, document, and track incident tickets while coordinating with onsite data center teams.
• Troubleshoot moderate-to-high-complexity issues across mechanical, electrical, and fire-protection systems.
• Provide process-improvement feedback to site leadership based on operating experience.
