AWS is looking for a Data Center Civil Engineer to join its East Design team, where you will lead civil engineering designs for Amazon Data Centers. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team of architects, engineers, and designers to innovate and solve complex problems. You will have a significant impact on the design of Data Center sites and will be responsible for providing technical guidance and oversight. • Professional Engineer License is required.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent engineering science.
• 6+ years of commercial, warehouse, and/or industrial site-civil design experience.
• Experience in carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities.

• Manage external civil design consultants throughout the Data Center design and construction process.
• Review designs for site layout, grading, power substations, storm water, and utilities.
• Coordinate with internal and external architectural, structural, and MEP design engineers.
• Develop preliminary site layout concepts using Civil 3D, incorporating grading, utilities, and circulation patterns.
• Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
• Create and maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
• Develop and maintain design standards, design prototypes, and template specifications related to site design.
• Create, review, and release design RFPs for various projects.
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously and foresee internal Technical Program Manager’s expectations.
• Lead initiatives aimed at improving cost, quality, schedule, and consistency.
