This role focuses on influencing acoustics and sound mitigation for AWS's global data centers. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with local ordinances and improve acoustical design standards. The position involves working with both internal and external stakeholders to document and implement sound mitigation features. You will be part of a diverse team dedicated to maintaining high safety and security standards while optimizing operational efficiency.

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer License.
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

• Drive improvement of acoustic design standards and project approaches across the organization.
• Work with third party design vendors to review concept designs and ensure compliance with acoustic design standards.
• Provide high quality acoustic engineering advice on various global projects.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to address requests for information.
• Be responsible for construction documents, code compliance, and design standards.
• Meet with Authorities Having Jurisdiction as needed to ensure approval of acoustical features.
• Participate in project calls to collaborate with all stakeholders.
• Conduct sound modeling of projects and design mitigation strategies.
