The Sr. Software Development Engineer will play a crucial role in building products and experiences for the Proserve and Frontier AI teams at AWS. This position focuses on creating solutions that help these teams understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions at scale. The ideal candidate will drive AI-driven transformation across various processes involved in customer deployment. This hands-on role requires balancing speed of delivery with performance and scalability.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
• 3+ years of experience designing and building orchestration or workflow systems
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience building AI/ML-powered product features
• Experience implementing security-by-design requirements
• Experience integrating with enterprise SaaS platforms

• Own the technical design, implementation, and operational health of platform capabilities or delivery workflows.
• Build production-grade software that helps teams understand customer context and develop solutions.
• Partner with delivery teams to create reusable software components and automation.
• Lead design reviews and make tradeoffs across various system attributes.
• Build secure integrations with approved AWS services and customer systems.
• Establish testing, monitoring, and incident-response mechanisms for owned systems.
• Partner with Security Engineering to implement security-by-design requirements.
• Mentor engineers and provide high-quality code reviews.
• Communicate technical decisions and delivery progress to stakeholders.
