The Hardware Development Engineer intern at Amazon will engage with a cross-disciplinary team to design and develop innovative consumer products. Interns will gain hands-on experience throughout the complete design lifecycle, from concept to production. This role emphasizes collaboration and problem-solving in a dynamic environment. Interns will also support engineering builds and work closely with experienced engineers to validate and debug hardware.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must work a minimum of 40 hours per week and commit to a maximum of a 12-week internship.
• Must be enrolled in or have completed an academic program located in the United States.
• Knowledge of analog and digital skills is required.
• Experience in embedded systems projects is preferred.
• Experience with general troubleshooting and debugging of hardware is necessary.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, with an expected graduation date between October 2026 and December 2029.
• Experience in 3D CAD is a plus.
• Experience integrating component modules such as I/O, displays, and batteries is beneficial.

• Perform schematic design.
• Validate hardware and debug issues.
• Develop automated test tools using LabVIEW and HPVEE.
• Travel to support engineering builds.
• Collaborate with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive product definition and execution.
