The Alexa Smart Home Cameras team is looking for an experienced software development engineer to contribute as both an individual contributor and a technical lead. This role involves developing innovative experiences that enhance the use of Alexa-enabled smart home cameras and doorbells. The team focuses on technologies such as Computer Vision, media streaming, and real-time communication. The ideal candidate will engage with cross-disciplinary teams to design and implement core backend services that improve customer experiences across various devices.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Lead the technical aspects of core Cameras backend services
• Engage with experienced cross-disciplinary teams to design and implement innovative products and features
• Ensure responsiveness and flexibility within an open collaborative peer environment
