The Senior Software Development Engineer will lead the design and delivery of major parts of the Amazon Quick platform, focusing on customer-facing features and the underlying architecture. This role involves setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering best practices. The team is dedicated to solving complex problems in agentic AI while maintaining high standards for performance and security. Candidates will work with various programming languages and technologies, contributing to a fast-growing and strategic product at Amazon.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Lead the design and architecture of large, customer-facing features for Amazon Quick.
• Decide what to build with product managers and senior leaders, turning ambiguous problems into clear technical plans.
• Design highly available, scalable, and secure distributed systems on AWS.
• Drive engineering best practices across the team, including design reviews and code reviews.
