As a Security Engineer on the AWS Vulnerability Management team, you will play a crucial role in assessing, triaging, and remediating security risks across AWS. The team focuses on leveraging AI and automation to enhance vulnerability response times and improve security controls. You will collaborate with various teams to identify root causes of vulnerabilities and drive scalable fixes. • CCSP, CEH, CFR, Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GICSP, or PenTest+ certification.
• 4+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
• Master's degree with a specialization in information security is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in Vulnerability Management.
• Knowledge of current security threats, trends, and mitigations.
• Experience in a lead role, including guiding and mentoring other developers.

• Assess and triage vulnerability disclosures and threat intelligence, authoring clear risk statements and remediation guidance.
• Own and coordinate large-scale remediation campaigns, tracking progress and reporting outcomes to security leadership.
• Partner with builder teams across AWS to design pragmatic, maintainable security controls that reduce risk at scale.
• Apply AI and automation to accelerate vulnerability assessment, remediation, and mitigation workflows.
• Mentor fellow security engineers through peer reviews and knowledge sharing.
