The Principal Software Engineer in Test at Fidelity Investments will lead quality engineering efforts within the Quality Engineering organization, focusing on test automation for an integrated Desktop Platform. This role requires extensive collaboration with stakeholders and aims to drive modernization initiatives for desktop applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong quality engineering background and experience in Agile environments. This position is based in the Westlake, TX office and emphasizes the adoption of modern tools and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• 12+ years in Software Test or Quality Engineering roles
• Experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack
• Hands-on experience with developing and maintaining test frameworks like Selenium, Karate, and Playwright
• Demonstrated technical skills with Java, Python, TypeScript, and SQL
• Strong experience in Test Automation design, development, and execution using frameworks such as Playwright, Karate, and Selenium
• Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure
• Understanding and working experience of non-functional testing is preferred

• Design and develop test automation frameworks for an integrated Desktop Platform
• Lead quality engineering efforts for a multi-year modernization initiative
• Establish standards, frameworks, and best practices for the Quality Engineering organization
