The Principal Quant Developer will join Fidelity's Quantitative Research & Investments Technology team, focusing on the development and support of a Systematic Alternatives portfolio construction and management system. This role involves hands-on development and collaboration with quantitative researchers and software engineers. The team is part of Asset Management Technology, which provides technology solutions for investment management and research functions. The position requires a strong understanding of systematic investment strategies and advanced programming skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Asset Management, Hedge Funds, Quantitative Investing, or Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of systematic investment strategies, portfolio construction, risk models, and performance attribution.
• Experience with financial instruments such as Futures, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Total Return Swaps (TRS), and FX Forwards.
• Advanced programming expertise in Python, with strong software engineering practices; Java experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases including Oracle and Snowflake.
• Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.

• Design, build, enhance, and support a comprehensive Systematic Alternatives portfolio construction and management system.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to translate investment concepts into scalable technology solutions.
• Develop microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures supporting investment applications.
• Gather requirements, influence technical direction, and deliver strategic platforms.
• Maintain strong communication and stakeholder management skills across investment, research, and technology organizations.
