Job description

The Senior AI Developer Relations Advocate at Intel is responsible for creating and maintaining example applications for developers building agentic and retrieval augmented generation solutions on Intel's data center platforms. This role involves producing high-quality demos, blueprints, and workshop materials while ensuring they are reproducible and well-documented. The advocate will lead workshops and live coding sessions, translating developer feedback into actionable improvements. Strong expertise in Python and open-source engagement is essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience building agentic applications with agent frameworks and familiarity with tool calling protocols such as LangChain and MCP.
  • Experience with open inference libraries such as vLLM or SGLang, including serving models behind compatible endpoints.
  • Experience building retrieval augmented generation applications end to end, including retrieval, embedding, and serving components.
  • Track record of publishing reference applications or samples that other developers run, with visible open source contributions preferred.
  • Prior experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or a similar role, including leading workshops or livecoding sessions for developer audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own the agentic and retrieval augmented generation example applications for the AI software stack on data center platforms.
  • Build and ship production quality demos, blueprints, and workshop repositories that developers can clone, run, and copy into their own projects.
  • Build on open libraries and agent frameworks, including vLLM, SGLang, Intel Inference Microservices, LangChain, and MCP.
  • Test every example in CI from a clean machine to ensure it runs on the first attempt and remains reproducible.
  • Lead flagship workshops, hackathons, and livecoding sessions at developer events and customer sites.
  • Contribute upstream to the open libraries and agent frameworks the examples depend on.
  • Convert developer feedback from workshops, issues, and customer engagements into fixes in the examples, documentation, and product.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and developer advocates to ensure each new capability ships with a working example application.

Benefits

  • Intel offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, stock programs, healthcare coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, parental leave, and programs supporting employee wellbeing and professional development.
