The team innovates in microprocessor architecture with an emphasis on power efficiency and performance. As a member, you will engage in various aspects of CPU physical design and collaborate closely with multiple teams to enhance design methodologies. This position offers the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art technologies that impact a wide range of computing segments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of relevant work experience or a Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in synthesis of a digital logic block or partition.
- At least 1 completion of Tape Out on advanced technologies.
- 4+ years of experience with integrated circuit design tools including logic synthesis, place and route, static timing analysis, and design closure.
- 4+ years of experience in chip physical design verification including formal equivalence, electrical rules, DRC/LVS, and noise flow.
- 4+ years of experience in scripting with TCL.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical design implementation of custom CPU designs from RTL to GDS to create a design database ready for manufacturing.
- Conduct all aspects of the CPU physical design flow including synthesis, place and route, clock tree synthesis, and static timing analysis.
- Conduct verification and signoff including formal equivalence verification and reliability verification.
- Analyze results and make recommendations to improve current and future CPU microarchitectures.
- Work closely with industry EDA vendors to enhance tool capabilities for designing high-speed, low-power CPUs.
