The Agentic Search team at Apple is focused on enhancing how users access information while prioritizing privacy. As a senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will contribute to the development and evaluation of personalized search applications that improve user experiences across various Apple products. Your work will involve creating scalable systems for data generation and quality assessment, ensuring that search applications effectively utilize personal data while maintaining privacy. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact the quality of innovative search experiences powered by Siri and other Apple services.

• 6+ years of industry experience in building Machine Learning or ML evaluation systems at scale.
• Strong software engineering skills in mainstream programming languages, such as Python and C/C++.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in designing and building production ML systems and applications in search, NLP, recommendation systems, or information retrieval.
• Strong skills in data collection, data generation, and data quality assessment of language, image, or multi-modal data.
• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent industry work experience.

• Build scalable systems for comprehensive evaluation of personalized model and search systems.
• Develop data generation and curation methodologies to support evaluations.
• Design online and offline metrics for product quality assessment.
• Drive solutions for data generation, data quality assessment, and statistical model evaluation.
• Collaborate with partner teams to assess and improve the quality of agentic search applications.
