Job description
In this role at Apple, you will be instrumental in identifying and resolving system-level issues before silicon arrives. You will work closely with SoC, software, and hardware systems teams to enhance validation processes. The focus is on shifting validation earlier in the development cycle to ensure readiness for silicon bring-up. Your contributions will help drive innovation and excellence in Apple's hardware products.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in SoC or embedded system hardware/software design, integration, or validation.
- Working knowledge of how silicon, firmware, and software interact at the system level.
- Experience validating consumer electronics products or platforms at the system level.
- Familiarity with pre-silicon methods such as virtual platforms, emulation, FPGA prototyping, or simulation.
- Technical program management or cross-functional leadership experience in a validation or hardware development environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Creative and analytical problem solving, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to filter and tailor information to the right audience.
Responsibilities
- Identify validation opportunities during the SoC concept phase.
- Drive validation processes from idea to execution using simulation, emulation, and FPGA platforms.
- Collaborate with SoC, software, and hardware systems teams to enhance validation efforts.
- Ensure readiness for day one of silicon bring-up by shifting validation earlier in the development cycle.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
