The Apple Manufacturing Design Engineer (MDE) plays a crucial role in developing mechanical manufacturing processes across Apple's global supply chain. This hands-on position involves close collaboration with various teams, including Industrial Design and Manufacturing Design partners. MDEs are responsible for providing comprehensive manufacturing and process solutions for key design features. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

• 3+ years of full-time mechanical manufacturing experience is required.
• A BS, MS, or PhD in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering is necessary.
• 25% domestic and international travel is required.
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical ability is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills are required.
• Experience with highly cosmetic parts and in a manufacturing environment of consumer electronics or consumer plastic/sheet metal products is a plus.
