The Principal Engineer for NetSoft at Google will lead efforts to optimize the planning and delivery of Google's global network infrastructure. This role is central to the design and implementation of intelligent systems that enhance network capacity and efficiency. The team focuses on integrating AI and machine learning to streamline processes and improve service delivery. The engineer will drive the technical vision and ensure that network builds meet stringent service level objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience creating a shared vision with clear communication and a leadership approach.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Deep understanding of the latest AI and ML capabilities.

• Lead the migration from batch-oriented planning to a Continuous Capacity Delivery model.
• Architect and implement systems for low-latency checks on network plans and designs.
• Develop Signals, Recommendations, and Intelligence systems to manage real-world delivery signals.
