DoorDash is seeking a Software Engineer to enhance its data infrastructure and automation tools. The Data Engineering team plays a crucial role in building database solutions for various applications, including analytics and reporting. This position involves collaborating with business partners and engineering teams to understand data needs and develop high-performance data models. The successful candidate will also focus on improving ETL processes and ensuring data quality.

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools in the full software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
• 3+ years of experience with ETL orchestration and workflow management tools using AWS or GCP.
• Expertise in database fundamentals, SQL, and distributed computing.
• 3+ years of experience with distributed data ecosystems and streaming technologies.
• Experience working with Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL, or other DBMS platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams.
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, Superset, and Looker.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think strategically.

• Work with business partners and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product teams, and third parties to collect required data.
• Design, develop, and implement large scale, high volume data models and pipelines.
• Develop and implement data quality checks and conduct QA.
• Improve the reliability and scalability of ETL processes.
• Manage a portfolio of data products that deliver high-quality data.
• Help onboard and support other engineers as they join the team.
