• PhD in Computer Science, ML, NLP, Statistics, Information Sciences or related field required
• Machine Learning experience in ranking, computer vision, NLP, content recommendations, embedding, and information retrieval
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
• Mastery of at least one systems language like Java, C++, or Python
• Proficiency with AI-native engineering and design of agent-friendly codebases
• Strong critical thinking skills when working with AI-generated suggestions
• Experience in research and solving analytical problems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Contribute to cutting-edge research in machine learning and artificial intelligence applicable to Pinterest problems
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize findings from data to build intelligent data-driven models
