The Forward Deployed Engineer at EY will lead the delivery of AI-native systems in highly regulated industries such as finance and risk. This role requires a hands-on approach to solving complex business challenges by transforming ambiguous problems into secure, production-grade solutions. The engineer will work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure the successful implementation of AI/ML initiatives. This position is part of a dynamic team focused on innovation and adapting to the evolving landscape of financial services.

• 8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems, ideally in regulated or client-facing contexts.
• Hands-on engineering depth across integration-heavy architectures, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with modern AI-enabled application stacks, such as orchestration frameworks and LLM-backed services.
• Proven ability to operate in forward-deployed, customer-facing, or solution architecture roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small technical team while remaining an individual contributor.

• Own end-to-end outcome delivery including scoping, tradeoffs, technical direction, and production readiness.
• Embed directly with the client to define the real problem and translate ambiguous business needs into executable technical solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical interface and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
• Stay hands-on, personally designing and building critical parts of the solution.
• Direct the work of supporting Implementation Engineers and Data Engineers to ensure a coherent, production-grade outcome.
