The PMIC Reference HW Design Engineer position at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is focused on the design and optimization of PMIC PCB for Qualcomm chipset-based phone designs. The role involves working closely with PMIC IC designers and test hardware platform teams to enhance performance and cost efficiency. The engineer will develop PMIC PCB design guidelines and perform board level simulations to ensure high-quality hardware designs. This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with various design tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
• 2+ years of experience using IC design tools, PCB design tools, SPICE, MATLAB, Verilog/VHDL, C, or Python.
• Experience in Power Management PCB design and component selection.
• Good understanding of common Signal and Power Integrity issues.

• Design customer reference boards and evaluation kits.
• Develop and publish PMIC PCB design guidelines and BOM selection.
• Perform required board level simulations to review hardware designs.
• Characterize and publish performance and cost optimized reference BOM lists.
