Qualcomm AI Research is looking for an experienced software engineer to advance AI technologies on edge devices. The role involves joining a multidisciplinary team that has achieved significant innovations in Generative AI solutions and model optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background and experience in leading technical initiatives. This position focuses on developing and optimizing AI software and runtime systems for Qualcomm's hardware.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 6+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
• At least 9 years of work experience in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience and excellent programming capabilities with C/C++ and Python.
• 5+ years of experience with low level interactions between operating systems and hardware.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded system development and optimization related to machine learning.

• Lead the development of end-to-end embedded AI software and runtime systems.
• Design, develop, debug, profile, and optimize AI/ML frameworks and runtime software.
• Develop and prototype novel AI/ML and agentic software solutions aligned with product roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, and deployment of machine learning solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and research teams to define technical direction.
