Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced backend engineer to architect, build, and deploy a new enterprise-grade core service focused on security compliance automation. The role involves owning the backend infrastructure and services for the automated compliance solution, collaborating with various teams, and tackling complex problems to create innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend software development and a strong understanding of DevOps practices. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• 8+ years of experience with the full life cycle of backend software development and deployment of critical production services.
• Familiarity with DevOps paradigms and hands-on experience in containerization/Docker, orchestration/Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code/Terraform.
• Expertise in a Cloud platform, ideally AWS or GCP.

• Own the entire backend infrastructure and services for the automated compliance solution.
• Architect, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services supporting security compliance automation.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability systems.
• Collaborate closely with IT, product management, product development, product releases, tools development, and security teams.
• Tackle open and ambiguous problems to forge innovative new solutions.
