As a Mechanical Engineer in Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation team, you will play a crucial role in delivering core infrastructure for various online services, including Azure and Office 365. You will work with a team of experts to support the operations of large-scale mechanical systems in data centers worldwide. The focus will be on ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in mechanical designs and operations. This role emphasizes collaboration and innovation to meet the evolving demands of cloud services.

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 1+ years of related technical engineering experience, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 2+ years of related technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

• Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of data center activities.
• Understand the design and functionality of the data center.
• Collaborate with a team to support 24x7x365 on-site data center operations and mechanical infrastructures.
• Act as the technical authority for on-site operations of large-scale mechanical systems and designs.
• Develop data center mechanical designs from project conception to issue for construction.
• Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures for high-capacity cooling systems and backup electrical systems.
• Assist with supplier selection and oversee mechanical supplier execution.
