The Cybersecurity Remediation Engineer will join the CISO Remediation Team within IBM's Cyber Defense organization. This role focuses on driving the technical resolution of security risks across the IBM enterprise, emphasizing remediation rather than issue identification. The engineer will work closely with engineering, infrastructure operations, and security architecture teams to implement scalable security improvements. Successful candidates will enjoy solving complex technical problems and will communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 4-8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, cloud engineering, network engineering, platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, or security engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, administering, and securing production technology environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-moving environments.

• Support containment, recovery, vulnerability remediation, and post-incident corrective actions.
• Partner with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to implement remediation plans.
• Drive the implementation of secure configurations across various platforms.
• Create technical documentation outlining remediation guidance and security best practices.
• Develop or implement automation and tooling to accelerate remediation and security operations.
