The Software Engineer 2 – CoreAI role focuses on developing scalable, secure, and reliable platform infrastructure for Azure API Management. The team is dedicated to enhancing AI capabilities and building features that can be quickly deployed and validated. Engineers will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the testing and support of live systems. This position emphasizes an AI-first engineering culture and the use of modern cloud technologies.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

• Work on highly scalable and reliable service infrastructure.
• Contribute to a variety of service features, including the proxy engine, management APIs, data analytics, and deployment infrastructure.
• Build foundational platform infrastructure that supports secure and scalable AI capabilities and AI gateway workloads.
• Adopt AI-first development practices and work with the latest cloud technologies.
• Enable container-based deployments.
• Build an intuitive API development experience in Azure, backed by containers, virtual machines, Azure Functions, or the customer’s backend of choice.
