The Azure Monitor team at Microsoft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance and evolve backend systems for monitoring services. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• The ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

• Design, implement, test, deploy, and operate highly available distributed services and automation for telemetry workloads.
• Build and enhance APIs, tools, and subsystems for telemetry collection and data access.
• Integrate advanced capabilities like machine learning-based anomaly detection to enhance platform intelligence.
• Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics to ensure reliable production services.
• Collaborate with partner teams to deliver end-to-end observability solutions and uphold high engineering standards.
• Champion agentic development practices and improve engineering velocity and quality with AI.
• Mentor engineers and communicate clearly with stakeholders about tradeoffs and delivery.
