This internship role is for a Software Developer within IBM's AI and Marketing Platforms team, starting in Summer 2027. Interns will work on real features for an AI assistant and an internal marketing platform, contributing to projects that enhance IBM's digital transformation efforts. The position emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and exposure to leadership, providing a rich learning environment. Interns will engage in both technical development and educational activities throughout the summer.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited University studying Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical disciplines.
• Available for an internship in Summer 2027.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and a rising senior for the 2027-2028 school year.
• Programming experience in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks like Next.js or React.
• Basic SQL experience.
• Understanding of Git fundamentals.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Work with an AI development team to ship real features to production.
• Build agentic and multilingual capabilities for a chatbot serving IBM marketing pages.
• Develop Python tools and API integrations for the AI assistant.
• Collaborate with frontend, UX, and design teams to create a unified experience.
• Develop a Next.js platform for SEO and AI-visibility reporting.
• Build data integrations and pipelines across various marketing systems.
• Contribute to open-source integrations between watsonx.ai and other frameworks.
